My System Specs

Default Poor PPd with 257.21WHQL

Has anyone else seen a drop in PPD with this driver? My GTX 275 used to get me almost 10K PPD but now it's only pulling in around 8k. I have the same overclock on the shaders at 1584 and I'm convinced it's the new driver. Tell me what you think?

How many WUs have you tried with the new driver? I checked the folding forums and I don't see folks talking about it. I am still folding on a 17x.xx driver.

Let a few projects finish, as you might just be getting crappy projects. Otherwise, try using drivercleaner.net to make sure your system is clean of older drivers.

I actually had a small PPD drop on my GTX470, but the temps were 2-3 degrees better so I just O/C'ed and I got even better PPD. (14k PPD w/ 197 drivers, forget the O/C, but now I'm getting 15k since the improved temps gave me a bit more O/C headroom)

I've had quite a few WU's go through with the new drivers. I'm not too worried because I think I'm going to do a fresh install of W7P this weekend.

Post your results here as I am interested. Keep track of the projects you run though just in case.

I've heard of lower performance, but I'm still on 197.45 on both my machines.

Since I installed the GPU3 on my 480sc, I was getting exactly 15,500 PPD on every workunit i've ever seen on it.
I upgraded the drivers when the new 'universal' driver came out.. and it dropped to 14,500 PPD. I clocked the core/shaders up to compensate, since the temps went down on the vid card whilst folding.

i dont know which driver version is responsible, but i noticed, when folding, gpu usage is now 95%-97% instead of the usual 99%.
