Setting up GPU folding with ATI and Nvidia in same machine??? I read through the FAQ on setting up multiple GPU but it doesn't seem to be working for me. My situation is that I just got an Nvidia GT240 to use as a dedicated Physx card with my 5870. I am trying to see if I can get both cards folding. Anyone know if this can be done? As a minimum, if I have to choose just one card , I would like to use the GT240 as the folding card. Trying to help put us over the edge on the Chimp Challenge :biggrin: |

Your 5870 is your primary, and should be started with -gpu 0, not 1. The GT240 is -gpu 1. |

I tried that as well. See below. The reason I thought my GT240 is GPU 0 is my GPUZ shows the GT240 as teh first card (see attached image). I don't know much about ATi Folding, but have you changed the .dll's as 10e suggested in another post; Quote:

With all those quads you have, just a single one would out perform the single gt240 and its a lot easier to set up. |
I have my 4890 folding with a 8800gts, I found the -gpu # was off for me as well.. It finally worked right when I just used -forcegpu nvidia_g80 and -forcegpu ati_r700. I got the same unstable machine error when I had it set as the wrong GPU. |

At least it indicates that this is possible. I didn't want to spend too much tiome on this if mixed drivers was a non-starter. I have tried the different combinations of gpu 0 and gpu 1 on both cards and can't get it working. I am at work now so I can't look into this until I get home tonoight. At least my Q6600 is still folding.... |
