Curious on why you need a "low profile" one.

Custom case where I took an old ibm matx tower very similar to this and relocated the power supply to over the CPU so that the tower is 10cm shorter. The hight is not even that important to me now so my next build is going to be in a standard tower with a very quiet heatsink but this is fine for now.

An i7 at 3.8

But I had to slow down for a little while to better catch up later on!

Bclk limits are generally that of the CPU until you reach 222blck. Which then you need a higher PCIe bus. Well at least w/ LGA1366 boards. I don't think LGA1156 should be any different though.

Your probably right. For some reason I thought it was just over 200 but the mobo reviews have boards hitting 240. The multi isn't really an issue then. I'll try 225 bclk taday so I can set the ram multi to 8 and the cpu to 16 for 1800mhz, 3600mhz. Thanks.

Edit: I think I'm actually going to see if I can get the ram to 1900mhz with maybe a little more voltage. Then I could leave the bclk at 190 and still get 3.6ghz and good ram speeds.

Update:

I've been folding at 1.2V @ 3.4Ghz and any higher CPU clocks are unstable with this voltage. Today I did my first bigadv with bonuses. I was sure that when I was using a SMP virtual machine that I had the right passkey entered but it appears not so I had to complete 10 big adv first. 21746.6 ppd

I'm still mowing through people but ADay2Long is coming up behind me. My avg ppd hasn't been properly calculated yet including the bonuses. In the end it's really close but I have an 8800gts 320 folding that should even out our bigadv points with my (likely)lower clocks. Now I'm almost in the top ten ppd wise, tied with all the other bigadv vms. This fall I'm getting gtx470 sli or 2 other good folding cards to heat the house. Untill then I think I'm good to go.

Hahahaha aaaarrrg I am so mad, my b4 last WU didn't get the bonus because my computer restarted with a windows update while I was out of town. I figure I would have had you by then but no it seems. Now because of you the only way I can catch you is folding as fast as I can so my main workstation needs to be left alone to complete its frames in 31 mins to give me enough bonus to slowly creep up on you!

Doing all my homework on my netbook sucks, but you're my target!

And you're right Zink, since it's based off of your PPD average, with your new bonus, it will slowly creep up as new points roll in.

BTW, post in the folding tag request thread that's stickied so you can get your folding tag!

Overclock that baby! Just make sure you got the cooler to keep temperature low. 1.2Vcore is really low and I'm sure you can get to at least 1.3Vcore with minimal worries.
