We will see. One can only speculate. If it lowers the gap between RV7/8xx and G80/G92/G200 I'd be pretty happy with that, especially if it can lower AMD/ATI's CPU usage per client.

Sweatness. Either way it means more points for current GPUs. There is no way they would decrease PPD for any arcitecture and with a bonus system Fermi could pull some huge numbers. The ultimate would be an ati client that could get 12K ppd on HD 5850s and 15K ppd on HD 5970's.
