4x or more is enough for GPU folding.

price/ppd...hmm....

second choice will burn way more electricity tough
And get less ppd. A 4GHz 920 will outdo 3 260GTX no problem.

if i get it to 3,5 from 2.5, will i be able to get bigadv going?

Actually, it's a lower-clocked 860 for 1156.

3.5GHz should be a breeze w/ that CPU. Even 4GHz should be obtainable. chriswarren gets ~ 20k ppd w/ a 3.6GHz i7. So even if you could only do 3.5GHz you still would be good to go.
