My new year's present from the server was a 511...

Code:
 Project : 5736
 Core : GPUv2 Gromacs
 Frames : 100
 Credit : 511

 -- Radeon 4870 --

 Min. Time / Frame : 2mn 38s - 2794.33 ppd
 Avg. Time / Frame : 2mn 38s - 2794.33 ppd
 Cur. Time / Frame : 5mn 30s - 1337.89 ppd
 R3F. Time / Frame : 4mn 45s - 1549.14 ppd
 Eff. Time / Frame : 3mn 03s - 2412.59 ppd
(frame times probably affected by gaming while folding and other disruptions to CPU and GPU)

Unfortunately the new year coming around means I'm back to a study term at university and will have to lose F@H SMP on my laptop. It's on its last SMP WU now, folding with the -oneunit option so I don't waste it. I may return to BOINC on it since the deadlines are not as tight and I can tell it to change the number of cores.

Anyway, happy new year to you as well!

Does seem like you got the short end of the stick this year mate, sorry to hear that.
Here's to ya just for folding, takes special people to do it, IMHO.

And it looks like I passed the 2 mil lark again. Now I duno where the hell I am LOL.
Should be somewhere around 14 mill aggregate.

Wife and I are doing our damn best to finish her new folder TONIGHT if at all possible,
but it is her machine so SHE is doing ALL of the work! Me? I sit there looking stupid
(and hungry) until she has it going balls-to-the-wall.

Here I am, sitting on the brink of going into lunacy mode again. If the wife's new box does
real well or even better, then I might replace all three of 'em at once. But the maniacal
amounts of money one can tie up in this stuff is beginning to eat holes in my judgement.
Where are even the smallest trinkets or clues that what we're doing has actually done
anything truly remarkable for someone?? I can spend whatever the hell I want on this
Effort but where are the returns? Nothing big than I can see and a lot of you guys started
3 years or so (more) before I did. It hurts, and it pains me no end that so many people TRY
their damndest with everything they have and yet they feel as if their contributions aren't
getting the program anywhere. But I keep going (and spending) like a madman because
now my wife feels like she's obligated to do it for all those who cannot fold. What can I do
or say except keep on truking........... er........ make that folding. Sorry folks, just needed to vent a lil more than usual. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
