Folding on a 2003 Server
hi I start a regular CPU client on my server 2003, for now everything work fine, I just worry if he gone be able to send the result at the end. did I have to open a port or a special setting

hmm...if the puter can connect to the internet no problem, you should be fine. havent touched s2k3 in many many years tough.

whats the hardware like? temps? drop a screenie of everest asap!!! and happy folding!!!

thanks Dan, it's a brand new GA-EP45-UD3L with a e7500 , it's my WHS, ( but it's base on 2003) , so I install a regular CPU client, I notice than even runign I can use my PC in the house without notice it, of course it give only few ppd, but the total count no. the core temps are at 40'c since the server is use less than 0.1% of the time in a day , I can give a better use too , so for now I have , my 860 , 750 , and the WHS runing regular cpu client 24/7, my HD 4890 is runing a GPU client when not in use . I plan to buy few nvidia card to but in other PC . I"m looking at card around $ 100.

it cant take smp? or no oc?

no I will not smp or Oc this server....... what I want is use regular client only on my pc I use for other thing, I will build dedicated one for the GPU ans smp client.
