The spacing is good between the 8800GTs, but the bulky double slot cooler on the GTS 250 is a tight fit.
Why not slap the 250 into the last slot then?

Bah, you're one to talk. Those standoffs of yours could easily be at least twice as ghetto as they are now ;).

What do you mean about the Foxconn? And I've already explained my dilemma with the shaders plenty of times before. I'm running these GPUs in Linux and I don't have independent control over the shader frequency. Plus, the cards get unstable at higher speeds due to heat, since the case is pretty cramped with three GPUs inside.

Ho yeah ST! I was looking to build a Micro ATX folding farm after Xmas but I think you get the point. TechStation MSI board and...empty my wallet 1 more time for stanford! Each HWC member should have a little folding farm.

well...you can have a 'farm in a box' if you do your math. folks are going hard for i7 oc+bigadv or whatever ya call em. us ole fashion folks probably still looking for as many gpus as possible. some dude was selling a huge arse box, the size of a small kitchen table lol. hell drop 2 boards 4pci-e slots in there and 8 highly clocked gt/gts's and you got yourself...hmm...*does the math.....i say a good 40-45k ppd single box. that you can also use as a kitchen table of course :D
if i make it to toronto i might as well pick that monster up :D

Exactly what I was thinking. But other than that, it makes me want some folding gear My lowly single, never turned on, 9600GT is not pulling in great PPD compared to all you quad card people.

And in terms of the TX750's ability to handle the job - I've had one running a rig with an X4 9850BE and four 88/9800GTs (very similar power consumption to your rig) on a 24/7 basis for well over a year now. The TX750 hasn't complained for a moment.
