Default Multi-GPU Folding

I need some help in setting up multi-gpu folding. The rig is running Windows Server 2008 R2 (see server in sig) and the GTX260 is running fine with the systray client. Now, I tried adding a 9600GSO with the console client. I added -gpu n (0 and 1) and the two clients have different Machine ID's but the 9600 GSO never kicks in. It's always saying trying to download, no work available and waiting to retry.

Can anybody help me out?

Have you extended your desktop?

Yes. I extended the desktop and have a monitor plugged in the 9600 GSO also.

You need to download this FaH_core11.exe if you are going to be using different GPUs.

Sometimes it will work, sometimes I will not at all. I tried everything to get my 9800GT and GTX260 Matrix to fold together and it was Fail everytime. So if it doesn't end up working, don't feel bad.

I know there is a Force nVidia GPU flag you can put in the File to help it out, but I can't recall what it is.

Try adding the switch -forcegpu nvidia_g80 to the line on the 9600GSO as well as the updated core file redwagon indicated. You can add it by running the client in -configonly mode near the end where you added the -gpu 1 switch.

This by-passes the check to figure out what architecture the GPU is and forces it to use that core and binary path (ie. for nVidia) for this GPU.

If that fails try removing the queue.dat, work directory and any older fahcore_xx.exe files in that client's directory.

I think I'll do the installation all over again. I'll post an update later today. Thanks for the pointers!
