bm sent me a few links...hmm....

basicaly you want 8800gt/gts g92 and up and get the shaders way up, optimally 1700 or above. on a gt that will give you roughly 5k ppd on the better wu's, 3-4k ppd on the crappier ones.

cpu wise, my q9550@3.2 is doing roughly 4-4.3 kppd . at that price you buy 2 8800gt's or gt's and double the points.

liek i say, you get yourself a nice 4 pci-e slot mobo, fill it with gt's and up, cpu can be almost anything im told. so a cheap single core or dual core will do.

There are no real charts as it varies depending on whats in a persons system and what's running. For example an i7 920 @ 3.8 GHz can do 9k ppd, it can also do 20k ppd and also 25k ppd all depending on if you are doing a normal work unit (the 9k pp), a big adv work unit with bonus and SLI folding (20k ppd) or big adv work unit with bonus and single card folding. I won't get into how the ppd can also change depending on how fast your ram is running at. The other thing also is what version and how high you can overclock your shaders on your GPUs. My GTX260s have different core and shader over clocks since they are two different base models, one gets 200 more ppd then the other.

You will only find ballpark figures.

I read something one place an I can retrieve it, they was giving exemple of the best performance vs the most econo one....

they must have a way to figure if by exemple ( and it's only an exemple) 10 PCs with e7500 with 2 gtx 260 in each will perform less or more than 2 PCs with a I 720 and 4 gtx 260 .... I know already the power usage for all those parts . So i want to figure what to buy for give me the # of points I want with the budget I want and for the ammount of power usage I want.

problem is the wu can differ in the xxxx family with the runs etc. not all are the same. they are close and behave closely alike, but not the same. one can be 5kppd the other 4k ppd on the same card/cpu

and i like this one as well : F@H Stats

You may find performance info around the 'Net, but not what you are looking for since there are too many different WUs / hardware combos out there that will vary the ppd output.
