No, that pic is the next day. The truck got towed into town, I grabbed a ride with the emergency personnel and snagged a hotel room for the night. It went to -30C that night. I took a cab to the towing yard in the morning and started unloading my personal effects to take to my room. What you see is frost!

As a matter of fact after I cleaned and warmed up everything and made sure there was no condensation present, I hooked up the psu and mobo with ram in but no video card and gave 'er some juice. The mobo will not start at all. I am hoping that it is only one component that is shot. I will determine what is still good as I sort this out. If that PSU still works I will send my testimony and pics to Corsair!

Next time when your in a heavy fog situation remember to have your hazards lights flashing. That Amber/Yellow goodness will make it more visible for followers. |
This was actually smoke from the farmer burning piles of timber that he had cleared of his land. You (in Alberta) must get a permit and post warning signs on the highway. He had neither. I drive lots and have seen lots of bad fog, this was worse. There was a temperature inversion that was holding the smoke over the road, it was impossible to see, I could not even see the lines on the road. I will however slow even more than usual from now on when I see fog. I keep thinking of what to do differently if it happened again, but short of stopping completely before going into the smoke, there isn't much.
