My System Specs

Default Windows SMP; 1/2 PPD of What It Should

For some odd reason, my Windows SMP is folding at half the pace it should be. I've already checked my BIOS settings and CPU-Z to make sure my overclock is working correctly. My temperatures are in the 50C zone according to Core Temp, so I'm definitely not getting throttled because of heat. I restarted my Folding client and still the same problem. Here's the log.

I'm not doing anything intensive. I'm just doing the usual, which is running WMP and homework, which does not involve the computer. The only intensive thing I ever run on my computer is gaming or Folding. I checked my Task Manager and my Folding is taking up all the CPU usage, like it should be.

Not sure whats causing the slow ppd but I think it might be either a bad WU or a corrupted install as I don't recall seeing a 2665 WU with 350000 steps, all mine have been 250000.

Could be something new I guess, with Stanford anything is possible...

I just noticed that when you posted about it. Like you said, could be a bad WU. An hundred thousand steps...

I posted on the Folding@Home forums and someone thinks it's my optimization assembly.

Update:

-forceasm doesn't change anything. Probably as LCB said, bad WU or a step glitch.

I just noticed thats running a p2665 work unit. I've seen the same problem, only once, also on a p2665.
I suspect its a bad work unit as well as it appears peculiar to only p2665's. I've never seen it happen on any others.
