Points today

Same here, for the last 4 or even 5 days PPD has been down about 35% from the usual 30k, give or take.
Done everything I can to prove it isn't a problem at my end. These continual little "bugs" at stanford are
starting to get on my nerves BADLY. I don't see why they can't get their s--- together when they have
all supposedly new equipment coming in. Smells fishy...........

Your points output has been fine at around 30k for the last several days. The reason your PPD was being reported lower by stats sites is because the four-day period where you had low/no production was being included in the points average calculation. EOC calculates average PPD based on the previous 7 days, so if you take the sum of your previous 7 days of points output (not including today), you get about 27k PPD which is in line with what EOC is reporting for you: bwm - User Summary - EXTREME Overclocking Folding @ Home Stats

This server problem is an actual issue and has nothing to do with what you have been seeing (although you'll probably see a large drop in your overall points production today because of it).

This is not the first time this has happened and it won't be the last.

This was posted on Prof. Pandes' blog on Oct. 13;

We've ordered a new class of servers which should make a big impact on FAH server load, and also allow us to release several new big projects with more WUs. We're very excited about this since we've been limited by server space recently, which has also lead to WU shortages. The new servers each have 24 x 2TB drives, so we should have plenty of space.
The servers should physically arrive next week, so including set up time, WU testing protocols, etc, it will still take a few weeks to get the new WUs out broadly, but at least the ball is rolling.

The server status page lists about half the servers it usually does so they are probably switching over to the new servers and it's causing the delay in updates.

As long as your log says that the WU was successfully sent you should receive credit for it.

As usual we will find out after the fact.
