Anyone know if there is a new core out for multi GPU folding on different cards?

Also anyone else getting some really low PPD today? my points are way below average.

well theres talk of new cores, no idea concretely tough

how do you check ppd? last 3 frames, all frames..do you look at the frame times manually? :)

Yes, there is a new that addresses two GPU folding problems. One is using two different cards, now possible using the drop-in version 6.24 client. The other one has slipped my memory but I will post it when I find it.

Funny, I've been havinf a problem kind of like yours for 3 or 4 days. Odd thing is that EOC would show normal 24 hour production figures, while the PPD figure was ay least 10k low. Been folding for years and never seen anything like it. I went back through countless SMP and GPU logs (because I run both), no problems of any kind indicated. I even stared at screens until my eyes crossed and didn't find anything. The numbers are showing signs of returning to normal now though, but I will continue to keep a VERY close and wary eye on them. F@H mon, in my experience anyway, when set to use the ALL FRAMES average method, comes closest to actual output when doing both types of folding, so I would encourage trying that if you haven't already.

I recommend using the ALL FRAMES method. And I think with good reason. Most if not all GPU folders have learned that it is completely normal for PPD to vary as much 1000 to 2000 points within the same work unit. SO obviously anything set to look at aln other sampling stands a much greater chance of being incorrect. I've pretty mucsed ALL FRAMES since I started folding and found it the most accurate and reliable method overall. I know the F@H home sire says differently but that was well before GPU folding came out, and a three frame sample on that setting will drive you to the rubber room pretty quick.

That's true of course, but each of the available methods has it strengths and weaknesses.
It was the freaky up and down and up and down PPD numbers that made me go back to using
the ALL FRAMES method, with the "last 3 frames" method as being the least accurate of all when
GPU folding. The later works great for SMP though, but is the worst possible selection for GPU.
