Default VMWare Notfred client error

I posted this in the "Folders, we have a challenge" thread. I guilted a bit and thought it would be thread jacking. Which sucks. So I'm posting it in here.

Im getting this "clocksource tsc unstable (delta = 4687773322ns)" error, which sucks. I'm getting really, really low PPD compared to my original PPD (114 compared to ~2-2.5K/VM). Somehow, FaHSpy reports that the average time/step is only around 18 minutes, which is normal. Does this have to do with i7's Turbo Mode, or SpeedStep?

i7 is also running at stock speeds ATM, not OC'ed in the slightest.

It's a bad WU. There was some of them going around. Delete your work folder and continue.

Sick. Where's the work folder usually located?

In FaHMon you would just right click on the offender and select "view client files" and then delete the work folder.

It still downloads 149pt WU's even when I delete them. 3 or so have been bad. Real bad. 114PPD FFS! Perhaps it is something wrong with my machine?

Have deleted 7 or so thus far...

I'm on XP x64 right now. I'm switching my folding operation over to Windows 7 (which I dual-booted). Generally speaking, what are effects of folding on Windows 7 vs. folding on XP x64? Will it be faster/slower/same, or difference insignificant?

Difference insignificant - but in my experience at least - more problematic, with more babysitting required.
