Default Rosetta Question

On my wife's e6850 rig, Rosetta tasks are now taking nearly twice as long as before. This normal ?

Could it be because I changed the "additional work buffer" from 0.25 to 3 ? At that point it gave me 25+ tasks and it seems like that's when it starting taking twice the time to finish the tasks.

The additionnal work buffer is strictly related to the number of WUs in your backlog.

Are you folding using the GPUs on that rig? You may need to adjust the Priority.

Yes. Should I put the "Priority" higher for Rosetta tasks ? What do you suggest ?

Rosetta's WU's used to have a default "work time" of 3 hours, recently this was changed to 6 hours. Its not uncommon to see your work time double, but don't fret you should still be getting around the same amount of points.

Another possible thing is that your GPU folding may be effecting the amount of CPU power available to Rosetta. Hope that helped

Task that takes 6hrs should get same amount pts as 2x tasks that take 6hrs in total ?

Correct, this is assuming that its the "3 hours" vs "6 hours" default WU time affecting your system(which if you never customized the settings, is most likely the case).
