The 'right' team is the team you fold for, and enjoy folding for.

The 'really right' team is 54196!!!

QFT. We're all Folding for a good cause and that's what matters to me. I'm a bit of an addict, but not to the point where I go like "OMG HE'S GONNA PASS ME! MUST FOLD MORE!". I hope that Stanford is making good use out of everyone's folding because if they're not and this project is all a lie and everything, well let's just say I'll be a very mad student.

I seem to have gotten side tracked...

You will have your first million in know time.
I was waiting for you to reply...lol. According to EOC, I average about 85K points a month so it'll take me a year to make that 1 mil. If I was going to switch, I woulda switched during that folding contest when you guys overtook my team.

I used to put out more points cus I had friends folding under me, but they all quit. One's too lazy and the other's computer crashes all the time. Plus he's lazy to run it. By myself, I can theoretically 6000PPD, but I usually put out around 3000PPD.

Why was I not on HWC team?

1- I havent been an active member here for a while, was just selling my stuff and that's it, not really paying attention to other parts of the forum until some times ago...
2- I was in a Quebec-made team (D-T.com) until I stop folding for a while (I've had so many issues with folding ...)

That's pretty much it!

Now I'll be pushing 6 CPU threads 24/7 for HWC once my new PSU & fans are here, I'll see if I can put up my GTX 285 on the work too when that happens, also proudly wearing my HWC T-shirts :D

yea that $100 is really attracting a lot of folks. every time i go to the evga site and look at that folding promotion makes me want stick the extra 8800gt in the pc and install vmware on the quad to get that million for the $100 evga dollars

maybe we can fold for HWC points for prizes like techwiki points instead of random draws

people will flock over to team 54196 like they do for evga

keep forgetting F@H is a volunteer type of thing

Some people fold for the right cause or for respect to others.
Some people fold for contests
Some people fold for competition

While it may all contribute to the larger picture it does not mean a person has the larger picture in mind.

I'm folding just cause I have no rhyme or reason and will I keep folding? Dunno.

But I am with the HWC team.

Wow, I thought everybody here were on HWC team. I set one of my power efficient machines to fold 24/7, punched 54196 and forgot about it.
