I have had a eye on those cyberpower lcd models for awhile now but will probably get another APC when I do.

APC 1300VA LCD here, its been fantastic. "knock on wood" It hasnt had to kick in once yet though...BC Hydro seems to be doing their job here.

I think I might chance getting the Cyberpower one, its stats do look good. I have no idea on the software, but I am sure it is respectable.
As I've stated, APC is really reliable and they do their job to the utmost.
However, one doesn't know what else is out there unless they try.
So I might just try.

The power here flicked off for about 5 seconds last night, just enough to shut down my rigs. Boy they do not like that at all! Took me about 1 hour to get things sorted out and running to my satisfaction.

UPS's are a must nowadays. I had an APC powerbar one that lasted only about a year or so. I went to Tiger Direct a while back as they usually have sales on. Ended up with an Ultra 2000Va for around $260, the APC 1500Va was on sale for $360 so I figured I'd give the Ultra a try. The monitoring software looks ugly but seems to work fine so far.

I don't know who the ULTRA OEM is on those units, but from reading their Spec's they look like very solid Units for sure.
And you are 100% correct...with the cost of our Rigs, these units are a must now.
