The difference between 98 and 100 is the anonymous users and the Google contribution. You will see 100 reported on the folding@home and 98 on folding.extremeoverclocking.com

Except the only way HWC was able to do this was with a competition.

Would have been done but taken a lot longer otherwise.

Thanks for the info. I don't normally use the official page as the third party stats pages offer better functionality, so it never occured to me that there was a difference between position reporting from one to the other.

Great to know that we're official!!!!! :)

Still, I think the incentive for folding was needed to keep our team strong. Hell, I never got into folding until there was that contest (which is still on, btw lol). Ever since I started though, I've become addicted!

Actually we were a little bit concerned that we might miss the mark when we were setting up the contest in the back rooms. We wanted the competition to coincide with breaking the 100 mark, and it was fast approaching even without the new members from the contest.

The difference between this and contests/sponsership for my Ride for Cancer is???
I think its perfect, any good cause needs a compitition or two to stimulate the senses.

Congrats HWC!

I guess it'll come down to how many of those who folded strictly for prize or for reason will be shown.

This I would like stats on after.
