I still have many PMs from Peter, saved in my Archives. My HTPC is made of parts that he sold me back then: the chip, the ram, the HSF.

Wow, keep them safe Charlie.
I've always had a spot inside of me for people who pass being part of a great community.
I remember one of my 'writing' mentors on another site, helped me through 7 years...and passed.
It really hits you hard, even with the distance...
Make you a Deal 3.0, I'll devote one of my cores to fold for him, if you will.

Regards,
ST

I was thinking maybe after the contest we could do a week of WU's in dedication to his Name. Maybe turn it into a yearly thing. Something to think about.

That was exactally what I was thinking Super, but I wasn't going to do it just for a week.
One Core, for as long as I fold.
The Missing 'Man/Folding' formation.

In the end, its not about my personal Score, its about the greater good.
I think, it would be a fitting tribute.

Rgr, I was thing we could switch as a team but by all means switch a core over. I might just have to start folding again just to show my respects.

Exactally, I'm gonna make a New Thread with my intention to do this.

On my other site (non-tech) I'm a Mod, and I maintain the In Memorium section with the same purpose.

Even if I am the only one doing it, I dont' care, I'm a sentimental bugger, and from the way Charlie described him so briefly, he sounds like the same person I lost Last year as well.
A mentor, and a good long distance friend.

Regards,
ST

I taught about ending my 3.0charlie profile, and going for "Folding for pscout" a while back. But no one knew about Peter's condition, and I couldn't speak about it.

Now, today is different.

I don't really need to fold for personal recongnition, and having my addy known. I'd rather fold with an addy that has a meaning.

Nor Do I Charlie, forgive me if I seem passionate about such things.
Cancer sucks, I'm not 30 yet, and have already had 2 close calls with it.
My Mother is officially a double survivor.
There is Huntingtons in the family line as well.
I fold for that, if nothing else.
And if that addy has meaning, then I will make sure its honoured.

When my friend on the Writers site took ill, it was only the mods that knew of it, and we kept it quiet until the end.
Losing anyone...sucks.

No need to forgive you, you haven't done anything that warrants an apology. You are quite right in your explanation. I have replied in your other thread, in regards to Fold with an addy that has a meaning. You are welcome to join me and others with that same addy.
