When you are trying to add the client in fahmon, add /1 to your IP. i.e. 192.168.1.195/1 . The fahlog.txt is in a subdirectory called 1.

Good question... I'm doing the reverse and its workin out...
specs: Q9450 & Two Gtx 260's

2 instances of VMWare with Priority changed to Low and the GPU's priority I have left untouched. If I leave the folding on VMWare priority at normal it kills the ppd on my gpu's.

Yeah I had to boost mine on the GPU's to normal, I suppose it doesn't matter as long as they're all on the same level of priority.

SugarJ, just tried that and apparently no such luck. I''ve tried my internal IP as well as the IP in VMWare and variations of it. Looks like this - \\192.168.1.110\c\smp\folding\1\

Your internal IP will not work. If thats the # of the one vm ware gives you then it should be \\192.168.1.110\c\etc\folding\1\

make sure you also check the box that states you are running on a virtual machine. Check your cpu usage to ensure that you are in fact folding away just fine and then wait about 20 mins to see if FAH Mon picks it up.

I had trouble with FAH Spy, but FAH Mon picked it up just fine!
\\ 192.168.1.110\c\etc\folding\1\

When I do mine in FAHmon, I put in \\192.168.1.xxx\1, (the IP that VMware assigns to your VM) and tick the VM box. Picks it up no problem. No c\etc\folding at all. When you navigate to the machine via your browser, it tells you where fahlog.txt is.

Ok I've added 3 different ones, all \\192.168.1.110\different things :)

I'll let it run and see if it picks anything up. The CPU usage is around 90% btw, the rest going to other programs and GPU.

It still doesn't love me. Any ideas? Also is it normal for VM to say clock source unstable? I looked it up and it appears all that means is my multiplier changed when it loaded (6x to 9.5).

Edit: It seems after letting it run for multiple hours the cpu usage has dropped off completely, I have no idea what's wrong.

Well it seems to be having difficulty and shuts itself off or something, maybe something isn't stable. I did get fahmon working by using this http://192.168.1.110/1/

Is it normal for the Notfred client to slow down your computer by a lot? I'm giving it one FINAL try on my sister's AMD X2 rig, and she says the computer is noticeably slower.

Also for some reason, I can't track its folding progress from my own computer. All my computers are in the same workgroup and using Windows XP.

I only use the Notfred client when not using the rig. I had it set to use the whole processor though. I stopped using the vmware recently to help keep the heat down in the apartment.

What are you using to monitor the vmware machine? You need to use the latest Fahmon (and check the virtual machine check box), and point to the IP address of the virtual machine.
