That cpu looks a little weak for running the SMP client unless you go the VM route, you might be better off running two uniprocessor clients.

Whichever cpu client you use you will experience the lag if your gpu get's the 511pt WU's, luckily they aren't as common as they used to be...

It looks like it just may be too pathetic for 2 clients, I've got the VMWare and a GPU client running on my sig rig under Vista X64 fine, maybe I'll get crazy and see if a second GPU client will run under Vista.

Ok guys, I'll be needing some help on this one...

Installed Server 2008 x64 on my Q6600 with hyper-V (I thought I'd try that )
.

In found a utility called VMDK2VHD that converts VMWare VMDK files to VHD then followed instructions on setting up the VM as per the evga guide and everything works up to the reconfiguration step.

At that step, I connect in internet explorer using the VM's IP adress... still no issue but when I go in the reconfiguration page, enter my data then click "Reconfigure" and reset the VM, I find that it did not reconfigure the user, team and memory.

What am I doing wrong?

I've got a question, and I hope it's not a stupid one....

Is there a way to minimize my 2 vmware windows to my system tray? Right now they sit in my task bar and it's annoying to look at.

I use the MinimizeToTray app and that sends anything I want to the system tray.

Which one of those do I actually download? I don't use any of the listed applications....

@Zlojack:

Tried out that suggestion about turning down the memory ratio, and then I just used that BIOS template you gave me. The folding has improved vastly, however I NEED to get this cheque cleared ASAP so I can buy 3.0Charlie's TRUE 120 because the i7 is (according to CoreTemp) hovering around 100C, which is...bad...

Should I stock-clock it or let it go for tonight?

EDIT: The MB LCD thingie reads 84C, and has read that constantly for the last couple've hours. Meanwhile CoreTemp says that heat is off the charts. Which one should I believe?

The LCD is just the temp of the IHS. Believe CoreTemp. I suggest you back it down until you get better cooling.
