Default We Broke #150 top spots barrier

I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but the HWC team is currently #117 for folding. I could've sworn just last week we were #210...

Anyways, we're so close to breaking the top 100!

Yes, anything more than 100 and we're into the competition against teams which dedicate a lot of resources to bringing in new members.

Like EVGA

Anyway good to see the numbers going up, they are going to get even better as people start moving to i7, plus the GPU's are dropping in price.

Haha yep...and everyone else in the top 100 upgrade too!

For a team our size we are really productive. The only way to really play with the big boys is to have tons of members folding.

Above rank 100, we'll be in competition against the big boys. But I must say that we pack a heavy punch for the size of our Team...

Well said charlie. I don't know if this has happened before but last night I noticed we had all 20 people on the individual rankings in the +6k group. That and having a daily average of 300k ppd is 3x what we did back in Oct when I first joined. Astonishing numbers we get for our team size and the fact we don't have one member with a huge folding farm.

Speaking of huge folding farms I was curious what the worlds largest folding farm was and it seems like nitteo of Overclock.net has the top spot with a 10 case server rack running 30 9800gx2s. Wow 290k ppd for one privately funded individual. Yikes can you imagine nitteo's power bills!

Heres niteo's constantly updated worklog on his massive farm if anyone cares to see what it looks like. nitteo's F@H GPU2 FARM - Overclock.net - Overclocking.net

Dear lord...boxes of video cards waiting to be installed, a portable AC system just for the rack.
