Once I find a nice stable oc (3.6, for a B3 under 60C is pretty good), I just may try Linux again.

Linux would give you a nice boost, run it natively on your i7 and its an easy 9,000 to 10,000 ppd...

If stanford would get the SMP 2.0 client for Windows working it would be a nice boost, of course so would winning the lottery, and the odds of either happening are roughly the same...

Since BOINC ain't that stable lately... let me think. But it won't be natively. VM again...

I get pretty good results with these WU's!

Climbing the charts here, hopefully the power bill ain't too ridiculous this month... gotta love the 80 plus efficient PSU, though!

Still gotta work on getting the SMP client, didn't update the net framework or whatever yet.. someday lol. I hear that client uses a lot more CPU power so it kinda turned me off from it, not much PPD boost for a lot more heat!

My Q6600 folding at 3.6GHz a 1920 point WU has a ppd of 2260, compared to your cpu with a ppd of 380. I say it's worth it.

If you are happy with the points you have now, stick with it. If you want more then follow 3.0charlie's advice, you will get much higher PPD with the SMP client than the classic client. Each of my quads easily finishes a 1920pt WU per day, your i7 could probably run two SMP clients without too much trouble.

Btw there is a new version of Rivatuner out that enables separate OC'ing for SLI multi-gpu systems and support for the 182.xx drivers, I would read the changelog it's massive; RivaTuner.

I'll run the SMP client as long as my computer is still relatively usable while it's running (using around 50% or less CPU), but overnight running it is no problem.

And I'll be sure to get the new riva tuner and up my shaders a bit

Since the i7 effectively has 8 cores and the SMP only uses 4 you should be fine, on my quads I set the CPU usage to 98% to make sure there are CPU cycles available for the GPU clients. The only time I get lag is on Rig1 is when I get the 511pt WU on the GPU and even then its minor...

I have never heard LCB001 refer to the 511s as anything other than a " 511" lol

I certainly seem to think that the 511s are much more common on my rigs now than the 353s are...

Holy shhhhhhht

That SMP client ain't no joke... So I'll be getting about 15-16k ppd with 2x353 pts on the GPU's.. only thing I don't like is 100% cpu usage the whole time.. but looks like I'll just do this while I'm not using my PC..
