I don't know if you can fold using x-fire; might want to check the FAH forums for the answer. The correct client for GPU folding is the 5.91beta6. I hope you have proper cooling, since folding generates a lot of heat, 24/7.

With your setup, I would rather fold using your QX6700, Vmware and 2 Linux instances. That's what I'm using for both my Quads. Check this thread: Linux SMP folding using XP / Vista + VMware

Well it's been quite a few solid days of this little Thinkpad working 60%, and I'm only at 3550000 out of 5000000, quite the block to start as my first one haha! Proud of this notebook though. It's almost 4 years old, and works so awesome! Been a few days straight folding, have not shut it down yet, and it's not getting warm, or anything!

I tried folding with my lappy too and I think this is what busted the motherboard. Also make sure you don't fold pas the deadline.

What's the deadline? I think maybe it will be done when I get home from work hehe.

Use fahmon to have the deadline information. If the crunching goes past the deadline, the work is submitted, but no points given.

Hello all. Sorry for not posting earlier. I am thebone. I used to fold for pcstats but have been folding for HWC for a little while now. One of my machines restored to previous state and folded for pcstats, but didn't for long. I have 5 AMD rigs folding 24/7, but will be upgrading these. I have been reading most of the posts and reviews since I started folding but didn't have anything useful to say (am I lurking?). Anyways, I'm here and glad to be.

Good to see you posting in the forum. I've enabled your folding tag.
