Under the 'Advanced' tab, choose preferences. You can chose how many cores it uses [one core per WU] and what % CPU time it will use...

Thanks, It seems to be running full tilt and on this Q6600 I'm not even noticing a performance hit haha so I was worried I had things turned down low.

4 Cores, 100% is standard?

Boinc is pretty low priority as far as cpu usage goes. I wouldn't think you'd need to worry about it running in the background unless you were gaming. (probably don't need to worry about it then either, but I always turn off before I start gaming...).

Yep... that's the beauty of boinc... it'll use as much as you let it. :)

Once you've uploaded some completed tasks under the HWC name, pop over to the "folding tag" thread to request your tag. :)

Does it upload on it's own?

Is that when I'll see my name in the list and know all my stats? hahaha
