Keep a close eye on those CPU temps; if you have a CPU temp. monitoring program, set it up overnight to see what is the max. temp.

I started Hwmonitor after the laptop had been folding for about an hour. CPU was 57-60 degrees C.

Hey welcome! (although I'm pretty new to it too!)

Those temps are fine for a laptop, but its only been on for an hour... keep an eye on it, expecially after it is on for 12+ hrs! I bought a $10 laptop cooling pad for under my laptop and it helps a lot (not sure if you have one, but if you don't its worth it!)

Ive been on Boinc Seti @ home for quite awhile and my GF's been on it for years no teams thought, but I had given up on it a while back. But I want to start Folding my 4870X2 is due in today or tommorow and I gotta say I dig HWC I want to fold with you guys but I am a F@H newb I have the 2.0 client downloaded what I gotta do to join the team.

Well I just installed BOINC, and I'll set up on Rosetta.. should be up and running by the end of the night :D

I'm up and running I joined the HWC team, I think I did that correctly. Also I signed up under 'encorp' same forum name. Can anyone advise me on some system usage settings that'll balance folding/my personal usage?
