Still had issues with the error 75, so I decided to stop folding altogether, and use my Server2008 R2 drive - and do some memtest runs on the 16 sticks, just for the fun of it.
Hmm. Errors. Now the 100$ question. Which of the 16 sticks died...
On my supermicro boards, the POST actually tells me which stick died.. does yours do that?
Took me a while, but I did find a BIOS setting that lit up the board with LEDs, including failed mem sticks.
Yep, the Tyan s8812 has lots of LEDs if you don't disable them. I keep them off because I run mine unobtrusively on top of my refrigerator in the basement.
Nope - running on Wireless N drops no packets. Go figure... I'll play wit the board later on next week, and send a ticket to Tyan. In case the board's NICs are toasted. Better have it replaced under warranty.
