I don't see why the 9800 would not handle the 64bit drivers... did you uninstall the drivers before installing the second GPU?

No I didn't uninstall the drivers before I installed the 2nd gpu. Was I supposed to? heh

Both read the same drivers. I have the desktop extended to the 2nd monitor and thats working fine.

I always do. But then again I never tried to add a second card with the drivers intact...

From what I have quickly read (ref. this CoreStatus = 7A (122)), it seems it's a drivers issue - either the card does not recongnize the drivers used, or they were not removed / cleaned / re-installed.

@Alwaysrun: I added a second card to an existing rig for folding. I uninstalled the drivers after my first couple of EUEs, but did not use drivercleaner or anything like that. I could not get both cards folding at the same time without EUEs. I figured it was temp based, as the 9800GSO would go up to 75 degrees, and then start to EUE. Added some fans, etc and did nothing. I was convinced that it was temps so I worked on the arrangement of my setup to put the GSO in a better cooled area. However, I was impatient and also re-formatted.

System is now stable as heck. Funny thing is, that GSO still reaches temps of high 70s, which got me wondering if it was the reformat/clean driver install that really helped my EUEs, and not the rearranging and slightly better airflow.

I know reformatting is kinda like cheating when trying to fix an issue but if you have the time and you are nearing the end of your rope you should at least try doing a good scrub of the drivers using drivercleaner or whatever, or even a re-format.

Wow..Bell owns The Source?! Wonder if they're gonna throttle all the merchandise they sell and still charge full price?

Back to folding though..is it possible that EUE's happening sporadically may be related to a faulty card (9800GX2)? Or is it most likely a configuration/driver issue? Just don't seem to run into any problems with the 4870x2 or the 8800gt even after installing new drivers on them.
