Top 5 avg PPD!!!

All my machines have been running smoothly recently, too bad I have to sell them off when it gets hot out. All my CPU's are 45nm though so when I get new stuff it's 32nm, 28nm or 22nm so I can't wait for that. I want to be able to turn in bigadv units with time to spare like the rest of you.

Right now I have the farm built up to:
5 midtower cases (some CPU's don't fold)
i7 920 bigadv
X3440 bigadv
Phenom II X6 1055T SMP
2x GTX 460
2x GTS 450

Heh... I thought I was the only one here using the brute force/more units/damn the power bill plan........ ;)

Currently running;
  • 1X 1090t @ 4G SMP
  • 1X Q6600 @ 3.64G SMP
  • 1X i3 530 @ 4.2G SMP
  • 3X 450GTS GFX client
  • 1X 560ti GFX client
  • 1X 275GTX
Slight fluctuations in PPD based on WUs, but averages out pretty damn close to 80K every day due to shear number of clients running.

edit: And no dan.... I haven't picked up a kill-o-watt yet, and have no pressing desire to do so...... ;)

It's still in my main rig in a CM 690 II on a P55m-ud4 with 8GB of 1600mhz cl9.

Well...
I had it under water for a bit with an Apogee GT but my pump is so low power that it was at 80C with a dual rad and 1400rpm fans. Then I added a GTX 460 to the loop and the CPU was folding stable at 90C so I bought an Apogee GTZ but stripped the threads, had to mount it off center on the cpu and accidentally put it backwards in my loop. I switched to a Hyper 212+ which was much nicer, then bought a 1450rpm GentleTyphoon fan and put that on a TRUE from the i7 920 rig. I mounted the TRUE using the 212+ bracket and it is 3-5C cooler with the same fan. It's at about 75C now at 3.76ghz. Voltage is 1.344 in cpuz. Folding with the GPU too the cpu gets about 25kppd I think.

It's not quite a 4.0Ghz 920 d0 but it's lower power when I'm not folding in the summer so thats nice. In 3 months all I'll have left is the x3440 and a GTX 460. Then I'll sell it and get more cores

Flaky router at work was causing delays in sending & receiving wu's.....
Usually this was happening during sleep time so I would not rectify it until I got up. Hopefully the ppd will pick up now.

My personal max. Might never be up there again or maybe in the fall.

(It's cheating, 2 bigadv in 1 update, my average is quite a bit lower.)

Throwing this out there, anyone got a S775 mobo lying around? Need one that supports a QX6700 has 2 PCI-E slots DDR2 and Sata.

Looking for my 2x GTX470's to actually contribute to the team, they were working OC'd while testing/folding (months ago) then I thought I should try the MSI Kombustor to make sure they're stable and seems the whole system went down. I eliminated GPU's and PSU as the prob, hoping its not the cpu/ram.

EDIT: Forget all that, picked up a cpu/mobo from Eldonko that will do the trick, might as well update while replacing dead hardware :)
