Indeed the first pic is from 2007. My bad. But it does represent one more particular aspect of ouf field: how far the hardware has come to perform 10-100 fold per user.

Yup if it continue that way folding points will be ridiculous.... in 3-4 years we will see threads like "HELP! My (insert cpu name here) only do 1000000 ppd!! what's wrong my my config?"

Wow, I love seeing old screenshots like that - takes members back to when things like this were started. I remember doing RC5 64 encryption contests back before 2000.. so i've been crunching blocks with various projects for years.
I just checked my stats.. and amazingly, I'll be folding with HWC for one year, next month!

Just lost 2 bigadv's in a row at 92% and 87% over the long weekend. Four days of wasted power.
Fired up prime95, no issues, 9 hours of memtest86+ gave me nothing. Saw some guys here using HCI memtest so I gave it a shot, I got 1 error after 5 hours of 8 instances...

Any better recommendations for stability testing? Also, has anybody used the paid version of HCI? I personally hate booting into Windows for testing.

Personally, if I was that close to stable on an OC I'd either bump the voltages up just a tad, or drop the OC down a couple of notches.

If its really random memory errors, just a thought - throw a 120mm fan over the ram. That happened to me with a 920 D0 that I had at at high overclocks.. threw a fan blowing on it = no more ram errors. Or what sswilson said. :)
