I can relate, you need a sea can to pack all your equipment with you while working. Luckily my wife is getting good at restarting clients.

Retried the Bigadv wu's on my laptop the last few days.... the i7 975@3.4 with only a couple interuptions netted about 15kppd, only about 1kppd above non-bigadv. Not a huge jump for the extra huge wu, so I'm gonna stick to normal smp wu's. On the bright side my extra fan install had nicely dropped temps, it use to throttle the cpu around 92c, now it maxes around 83c and currently running 75c in my 17c motel room. (they must think I'm crazy to have the AC on at the end of October in northern Alberta) I'll retry after my next days off when/if I get the new 980x into the laptop, I'd imagine 50% more threads should increase the bonus and make it more worth while for me.

<stupid moment> realized I could/should probably run a gpu client on the current gtx280m in here too, so far after only a few % its getting 4100ppd. As good/bad as that may be at least its with me on the road and I can easily monitor/restart is as needed. On the next days off it too will be upgraded to a gtx480m, that should be a nice boost in ppd as well.

Currently netting about 18kppd from this laptop, maybe 25-30kppd after the upgrades wich will probably be the end of the line for this hardware.

~20k on a laptop is nuts, but not for the faint of heart due to all the heat.

..I'm looking into at least 1 460 right away.

I'll be adding it into next weeks shipment from Calgary.

Does a 285 play nice with a 460 ?....or do I just want 2 new 460's ?

Is anybody out there getting non-611 WUs for their fermi cards? I've had nothing but 611s for the last couple of days.
