Same situation here with 3 clients running, ended up turning off my SMP client due to the sudden heatspike here. My northbridge was overheating and was causing the ethernet to flake out.

that is not good. you need better flow in there. by the time your connection drops due to chipset instability, youre already past the 'omg' threshold, temps wise :)

at what speed are the shaders on your gtx 280, im asking because my gtx260 at 783/1566/1100 gets the same ppd from those units and it seems wierd unless yours is at stock speed.

645/1475/1170 stock is 602/1296/1107.

The 280 is older tech (older than the 275 actually)

Nvidia GeForce GTX 275 896MB Review

Anyone of you guys been getting nothing but P2684's lately? I have it on 2 machines and it's killing my PPD. It's like some kind of constipation unit

What client is that from? My low PPD has been from 6701/6702 on SMP2, 10109s on the GPU2, and the standard (non -advmethods) 10632 WUs on GPU3.

I sure as hell hope that the BigAdv folks are at least getting some decent WUs..... ;)

No, but all Ive been pulling with my SMP client is 67xx units, which are probably just as bad

@sswilson

It's a core A3 bigadv unit. My stock i7 920 can't keep up with it at all. Heck, my i7 920 at 4Ghz barely manages to. It's a real PITA

@Sagath

I can remember having seen a P67xx unit once, I don't think I even noticed that it kills the PPD. Since I've only started folding two weeks ago though, I'm sure those P67xx's are out to get me
