Main reason why I didn't get GTX 295s or 9800GX2s (though the GX2s seem to be more reliable). That and money really helped play a part in it.

Sell them Zlo and get 3 GTX275's like 3.0 has.

The problem is, if I sell them now, I'd likely only get enough money to pay for 3 275s, never mind the waterblocks.

Seems counterproductive.

They fold like 3 275s right now, since the 4th GPU is giving me no end of EUEs, so PPD would be the same. These cards are amazing for gaming and I haven't even put them on water or overclocked them yet.

If I could get enough money for them to make it worthwhile to go to three 275s, I might do it, but at this point it just doesn't make sense, even at the reduced rate of the 275 on sale.

I'll muddle through with these for a while. Then down the road I'll probably sell one of them and retire the other one to a folding rig.

Oh, I didn't know you were Under Water will all that Right now.
Well, yeah I guess your plan is best.
I can't compete with you guys in regards to that kind of PPD.

But if all goes well next Month, I might be adding another Small Rig to the Fray.
Which should hopefully help me Crest 20K PPD.

Oh well, live and learn, I guess!

One of the reasons I went through the whole stepup rigamarole was because the GTX 295 had the overclocking capability though the Voltage Tuner that I couldn't seem to get with my 285s, plus the extra GPU for folding (since I certainly don't need it for gaming).

Anyway, you are a wise man, John.

Actually, it was more a close call - I too almost went for dual 295s... but the upgrade price was too high for my liking.

Yeah. I'm just bitter that things aren't working well on the folding side.

If they were, I'd be very happy because for gaming I have no problems whatsoever.

You know those times where you feel sort of like punching yourself in the face?

The secondary monitor cable wasn't plugged in properly.

Now I'm wondering if this is what caused my EUEs as well...

EDIT: Nope...still EUEs on the 4th GPU

ST, I think you should take a week off from folding. I'm only running two GTX 275's and a GTX260, and just to make sure that I don't pass you in that time I turned off my PS3.

LOL, Maybe , but I like not having you in my Radar :)

Well if I do manage a Small Miracle and get Rig# 3 up that will be a solid 5-8Kppd Bonus so I should on Average Cap out at 20K PPD.
Which would be nice lol.
We'll see though, my Rigs are doing good for the long haul, thats for sure.
