I got my first EUE today! HOORAY!

I got back to find my 8800GT's desktop artifacting.... it was shimmering with patterned multicolored dots everywhere. Checked the log and had this:

I restarted the machine and then reduced the clock on the ram from 2100mhz to 2000mhz and then tested it for 4 hours doing Furmark's meanest test while running ATI tools artifacting test. So far so good and no more drama!

Just look at XFX. These guys overclock anything regardless of yield (I guess they don't take the overhead of support into account when they sell stuff) and they're only at 1950MHz on their highest OC card (Alpha Dog).

I would only crank the memory up to 2GHz plus to get a killer benchmark and then crank it back down to 1900~1950MHz for day to day use.

well, i have both versions of xfx 8800gt's at my hand

what color are your PCB? i notice the black ones have samsung memory chips while the green PCB have qimonda.

The ones with black PCB (samsung chips) crashes at 1000mhz ram and runs fine at 975mhz, been running them for a month now with F@H no problem

The green PCB ones can easily stay at 999mhz with out problems.

Due to the hot weather i have down clock them to stock clocks

and BTW what are EUE?

I'm sorry to say my PPD has taken a serious downturn lately. Having renovations done to my house so 2 of my rigs are down right now. I'm hoping they'll be back up and running this week. Glad to see the HWC team has been kicking butt and taking names and congrats to the winners of the contest! ST glad you won the card because I know you'll be putting it to good use!
