Without getting into the technical issues here should I take a 1000PPD hit to contribute to Rosetta? Is this the best way to contribute to the HCW folding team in general?
Yes , without question .

Alright, seriously speaking, whats your total PPD without Rosetta? I'm assuming your speaking simply PPD from your GPU?

On the quad in my sig I am getting ~8000ppd without Rosetta, ~7000 with. On my AMD rig in my sig (dual 6400) there is no difference, which is ~4500PPD. So the dual core rig can run no probs.

I haven't figured out my RAC yet on the quad system, as I have been trying 1-3 cores the last several days to see if I can find a good balance

8000 vs 7000? The SMALL 12.5% loss in PPD is well worth it IMO to run Rosetta full till.

Hmm.. Is it just me, or are all projects getting a Computation Error?

You must of gotten one of the bad WU's, just ignore them for now, it shouldn't affect you RAC by much. I thought they took all the defective WU's out of distribution, apparently not.

awsome about the i7's. yeah, i got home and my rac took a huge dive.. 2 of my 3 pc's had crashed.. one didn't resume, and the other one requires a p/w to log into windows :(

and now, one's out of commission for now, so its down to 1.5 :(

HOLY HELL AND BRIMSTONE BATMAN.....Aurora is kicking it I was away for another 5 days and Bam looks like she will hit 30k RAC by Friday Woooo finally a milestone of my own..and Aurora is in the top 10 Participants list...most excellent

Man it is so much easier when you can just leave it alone and come back to awesomeness instead of epic failure....

on another note looks like Dalton just hit 2 Million points...kudos to my nemesis
