they told that they would be adding hardware soonish.... that is also why they modified the minimum task time. Anyway, I am back to priming my i7....

to Wolfbane :

The server are down, you wont receive any task before it goes up again. If you go in your Boinc manage window, select message tab, it should be saying what your computer is trying to tell you.

is it enuff to even fold?
You won't get any Tasks from Rosetta until the servers are back up. Boinc/Rosetta only uses the CPU right now, your X3110 should run it fine. You could still run F@H on your GPU...
Welcome to the Team...

You can also modify your minimum task time so each task runs longer before starting another one, I set mine for 8hrs. This helps by putting less of a load on the servers which is why they are increasing the min task time from 1hr to 3hrs and the default task time from 3hrs to 6hrs...

You need the servers to be back for this:

Click the "your preferences" button on the projects page of the BOINC Manager application.
Select "Rosetta@home preferences"
Then "edit Rosetta@ home preferences"

Then you can change your 'Target CPU run time"...

The Rosetta home page is up, anything to do with the database or stats is still down. From the homepage;

Unplannded Outage: the project is being moved to the new SAN infrastructure and will be brought back on-line as soon as possible. -KEL

why do you want your task to run longer? doesn't that mean that your cpu is wasting time then?

No, you get credit based on the amount of "models" you pump out, if your task limit is set to 3 hours, your computer will crunch out as many models as it can for 3 hours, then turn the results in. If in those 3 hours you crunched 6 models, then you get credit for the 6 models.

Now if your computer was set to crunch for 6 hours, and therefore crunched 12 models, you get the credit for the 12 models. For example if you got 80 points for the 6 models in 3 hours, you'll get 160 points for 12 models in 6 hours. In the end the the exact same amount, but your stressing the server way less.
