I bought my two BFG OC ed. 9800GTX+ 's at Futureshop, they are great cards and have been folding 24/7 without a hiccup since the day they went in the case...
If you sell the 4870 you could almost get two of them at that price ...

Btw glad you found your benchmarks, since that was the initial topic for this thread ...

Lol I look at you guys at the top of our stats page and when you make suggestions I am all ears...you think that the 9800GTX+ is a better folding card? How many PPD are you getting with recent WUs?

Sorry I wasn't trying to push the GTX+ on you, but they are good cards. Mine came Fact. OC'd to 760/1125/1885 core/mem/shader, i've uped the shadders to 1970/1978. PPD wise I get
~6128 on 480 pointers
~5855 on 384 pointers
~45xx on 511 pointers
Read Sky's review EVGA 9800 GTX+ 512MB Video Card Review . Temps on mine don't go over ~62* as long as I clean my case filters and uses only a couple of watts more than the GT. Oh, they are very quiet cards, I don't hear mine unless the ambient goes over 26* and their working on the 511pt. WU's...

I have looked at that review a couple of times (again after reading your post), and have noted Sky's comments on the quiet and cool card which interests me.... I see a Palit card for $230 at Canada Computers, looking around a little to see what I can do....
edit: Also found an Evga stock clocked 9800gtx+ for $209 close by

Taking a quick look around you can get the same BFG's that I have at Canada Computers for $234.99 or the EVGA SC at NCIX for $238.74 after $20 MIR. That $209 at Futureshop is a good deal tho...

Keep up the good work guys yea i been debating on getting a new card myself i hear there are gonna be some new X2 cards coming out so im excited but hopefully their power efficient as my little 8800GT.

Oh and btw someone was saying that now updating to the new drivers makes Xp also use low cpu usage now is that with the new Nvidia Driver or the folding at home 2.63 version?

I use a program called Fahmon you can download the latest version here.
Home | FahMon

I dont use a screen saver console i think that probably slows your ppd i just use the normal client.

To set up Fahmon depends on whether you have xp or vista so please tell us which one you have :)

And thanx for Folding.

Nice to have you back Shredder, as you can see the Team list has changed a bit. As far as I know the Display/Viewer is still buggy on the systray client so your better off using Fahmon like Dashock linked...
