but now that i think of it, if you price match 2 8800gs cards, you can buy them for 69 each, so $140 for almost 10 k ppd

hehe thanks but I'm too cheap for that lol

I would like the CPU and GPU to TOTAL 100-150 or so this really is just a side project ( I have my gaming/everything rig already)

I'm thinking about just searching ebay for a GPU/CPU see what I can dig up there...but I won't buy anything until it's a crazy deal...HWC has some decent deals every now and again and I wouldn't mind purchasing from NCIX if I could...

AH, well, either way, as long as you have a board that has 2 pcie slots, in the future if you come accross another nvidia 8800 or up gpu, you can throw it in there for more ppd. You might not think you'll have a need for more ppd than that, but after you see the numbers rise, the need for more and more and more will sloowly creep into your mind.... heheh, at least thats what it did for me...

psh I think I paid too much! I want a 9800GX2 for free from you to make up the difference!...lol it was worth a shot:P

nah I'll see if I really get the bug I might end up upgrading my current mobo (DFI P45-T2RS which has 2 PCIE 16x slots running at 8x when both used) and throw that board in the folding rig and get another GPU for that..../sigh then I'll have a spare mobo which will need a new home....I'll have to build another box lol

That's what the folding bug is all about, I know a lot ;) I used to have 5 computers folding (2 just for folding with those IP35-E).

Not much of a difference; this is the chart I use to compare.
