A New Hope......

I am working on getting a couple of my borgs going on a more positive tack.

Now my borg's are p4 class rigs/agp slots/350 W psu's.......No point upgrading em , they are too much for thier users now....but ATI has graciously made new AGP cards :

These seem to be the ideal card for old borgs , they don't even need an extra power connector.

I'll be doing some tests on this card as soon as I can get one.

I will be quite interested as well. I got a new BFG 9800GTX+ ~10 days ago, and put it in my ASRock Dual775-VSTA(it's not even supposed to handle PCIe 2.0 cards AFAIK). The PCIe slot on this board is only x4. I'm currently using my PD-915 underclocked to 2100MHz(150x14) from 2800...to lower power use(Kill-A-Watt reads ~250-255W while Folding) . Believe it or not, i'm still pulling down ~5700PPD..was higher... so the x4 interface isn't slowing it for Folding ...gaming and benches are a different story though.:help: I'm gonna switch it with my HD4850 from my main rig, and see how the x4 affects it, too.

Awesome.

Look like good numbers to me.......it's at least 5x what my best borg does now.

I'm going to get MemX to bring in some of the AGP 3650's.....I'll probably buy 2

Interesting, ins't? For an AGP card, it's actually folding some good numbers. I was quite surprised at the output.
