EVGA have showcased a new prototype gaming case that targets the high-end of the market with an emphasis on liquid cooling and multi-GPU configurations, while aiming for mainstream price points.
While EVGA introduced a number of concrete products at CES 2016, they also took the opportunity to show off some prototypes that were still a work in progress, like the Gaming Case. This is a large - very large in fact - case that was designed with the enthusiast gamer in mind. As such, it puts a very heavy emphasis on custom liquid cooling capabilities and support for 4-way SLI. Despite its lofty ambitions, this case should retail for about $79 for the basic model and under $150 for the flagship edition that will come decked out with every feature.

While the exterior design lines are essentially set in stone, the colour might be tweaked a little before launch. The model featured in the above video has a plastic exterior shell that seemed to underwhelm Dmitry, but there will supposedly be a higher-end model with an aluminium exterior pieces and even a different fan controller with a touch panel LCD screen.
The front fascia features an angular air intake grill that extends to the top of the case. The whole front panel is on a hinge, so it can be easily opened all the way down to reveal the three front 120mm or two 140mm fans, and it provides an easy way to clean the front dust filter.
While the left side of the case features a huge window, the design element that really catches the eye are the large mirror strips on the right side of the case and on the bottom chamber. This lower half actually features a built-in fan controller, and it also comes with a sizeable and somewhat unsightly LED display that indicates fan speeds. This area is also where all of the front-panel buttons and ports are located, which is a very daring choice. There is also features a rear chamber with a door that gives you access to the motherboard's rear I/O panel.
The Gaming Case - which we are sure will get a less generic name before it is released - will be available sometime in 2016.
