| Q6600 Temperature Testing Q6600 Temperature TestingIdle Temperatures ![]() As we saw with the dual processor results the PURE has trouble handling higher thermal loads. Even at idle the PURE’s numbers are only good when compared to the stock Intel cooler. Unfortunately, it seems that the ultra quiet fan and slow (but very quiet) pump are the limiting factors. Average Load Temperatures ![]() At stock speeds the CoolIT PURE performs fairly well and in fact is one of the quietest CPU cooling solutions we have had the pleasure of testing. But (and it’s a big but) the PURE is only an adequate solution when overclocking a dual core is involved. | ||
