AMD n3

This benchmark was created by AMD to show what their then ultra efficient design CPU’s could really do against the older Intel P4’s. While things have changed in the computer industry this benchmark still stresses efficiency over brute force.

As you can see, this entry level board posted some very decent marks. While a higher end graphics card would have helped increase these numbers, the 6200 can definitely be considered a budget card, and thus in keeping with this reviews scope.

MetaBench

MetaBench consists of 55 different tests designed to measure performance of the whole system as unit rather than an individual part. These benchmarks consist of both “synthetic” and “practical” and they include Raytrace Rendering, Ogg Vorbis audio encoding/decoding, Blowfish encryption/decryption as well as many others. All options were left at their default levels.

Once again this board pulls in numbers that you would expect from a modern entry level board and system. While they could have been higher, they were in the low-end of the spectrum either.

Sandra XII Lite (Processor Arithmetic)

This benchmark is designed to show exactly what the CPU can do. Of course, if the CPU is bottlenecked by the motherboard its numbers will be very low. This is especially true with quad core processors. All options were left at their default levels.

As expected the Quad did much better than the dual core. All these numbers definitely put to rest the idea that the P31 is an inferior chipset.
