Gaming & Prizes

By about 3:30PM, there was a pretty decent crowd in attendance so it was time to start the gaming portion of the evening.

First though, the representatives of the eventís various sponsors gave brief speeches. Clockwise from the top we have reps for GIGABYTE, Intel, NVIDIA, Corsair, Antec, Philips, Supercom, and Canada Computers.

A small crowd checking out the game play. Some of the action was actually being projected onto a large screen that was to the right of where these pictures were taken.

At 5:30PM, there was a lucky draw for prizes. People won t-shirts, GIGAGYTE Ghost mouse pads, Corsair A70 and H70 CPU coolers, and GIGABYTE jackets.

However, the biggest prize was won by new HWC forum member Kirbster. The lucky guy won and got to choose any of the gaming systems in the room. It was a prize valued at about $2300. Not a bad haul for an afternoon of gaming!

So that is it for this event, but you can expect our comprehensive G1.Assassin motherboard review in a couple of weeks.

Thanks to everyone who was responsible for making this rare Canadian launch event happen.
