Binaura A102AB Home theater System Review

Conclusion

I tested this system in both a home theater configuration and as a PC audio system. I am usually not very impressed with “Virtual” type technologies however I was very surprised and impressed that this system sounded so close to a real 5.1 audio system. The audio produced is clear and dynamic, not a flat processed and “digital” sounding quality that plague many virtual technologies. This system is very close in sound imaging to a discrete 5.1, there is however somewhat of a different type image produced, very big and full in the front and along the sides but a bit lacking to the side rear and back. I firmly recommend this system as a great alternative to a standard 2.0 or 2.1 systems. This system can easily best a stereo configuration for movies and PC gaming as any in game environments where reverb was used were deep full and lush. Positional audio was very accurate in the front and the side images do seem to stretch behind you. I will recommend this system for people who have space constraints or are looking for a modern audio solution but don’t want a full 5.1 configuration. The enveloping quality to this system is phenomenal and needs to be heard to be believed. I give this audio system 5 out of 5 and our coveted Damn Good Award for superb sound quality.

PRO’s
Quality sound
Simple Hook-Up
Big sound field

CON’s
Could use 5.1 analog inputs
