by Robscix     |     October 6, 2007

Features

The ASUS Xonar 7.1 is said to eventually be available in two versions: one for normal PCI and the second for PCI-E. The Xonar card features ultra high fidelity sound quality with a 118 db SNR for playback and an 115db SNR for recording. This card also has the latest in digital output standards with Dolby Digital Live and DTS connect technologies aswell as Dolby headphone and Dolby Virtual speaker. The Xonar is capable of full duplex High Definition recording in 24/192 and the ALT internal loop-back technology allows legal ripping of Mp3s. A dedicated Midi bracket is included for Midi I/O for the home musician. ASUS also added some modding "BLING" to this card which features an orange light inside the EMI shielding and corresponding LEDs in the inputs and outputs, making it easier for the user to identify the signals.
