The Silverstone Raven RV02 is based on the successful introduction of the Raven RV01 earlier this year, and takes the same unique approach to cooling, using the stack effect system. In all other respects however, it is an entirely new breed of case.

The RV02 does away with the rather contended style of the original and has been molded into a design that is likely to appeal to a larger audience, being that it isn't so radical. It has a eye catching black finish both inside and out and plenty of cable management spaces throughout the case to keep the interior relatively clutter free.

The hit feature of the RV02 besides its look is the cooling potential. With three enormous 180MM fans at the bottom, and the sideways rotation of the motherboard, all the warm air is forced out of the case keeping temperatures low. The positive pressure makes sure that stagnant warm air does not linger and our temperature testing shows that the Silverstone cooling design really works!

With the chassis' rectangular shape, and Silverstone's desire to make sure that users have everything they need (especially airflow) the interior does feel a little small and that can lead to a bit of installation frustration, but for the most part, the layout is acceptable for typical use.

Overall the Raven RV02 boasts the best airflow design on the market; standing out as a leader in chassis cooling. However, its price tag lumps it in with some of the hottest selling computer cases of the year, so how does it stack up?
