Power Consumption

In this test AC power consumption for the system was tested with a UPM power meter while running Company of Heroes. The graph below shows peak AC power consumption.

This is one area in which the HD2600 XT’s 65nm fabrication process really starts showing its muscles. Power consumption on this engineering sample is kept to a bare minimum at near-7600GT levels. AMD’s new mainstream card really seems to have Nvidia’s best beat clean in this test. Bravo AMD for keeping power consumption to a minimum.
