Overclocking

In the past, ATI overclocking has been a bit of a hit and miss affair that involved alot more work than the time-conscious enthusiast was willing to undertake. However, with the massive heatsink on the Pality Revolution, we hoped that overclocking would be a bit easier than in past experiences.

Maximum Stable Overclocks

Core: 800Mhz
Memory: 4000Mhz (DDR)

Unfortunately, we were stymied by the limits of the Catalyst Control Center once again since neither Rivatuner or the AMD GPU Clock Tool played nice with the 8.12 drivers and Vista x64. This means I am sure higher clocks could have been achieved but due to our limited time with this card, this was as far as it would go. We just wish ATI would begin adding a bit more of a buffer zone into their overclocking utility within the CCC.

Below we have before and after overclocking shots since GPU-Z would not pick up the proper clockspeeds after applying the overclocks.
