The moutherboard header is 3 pin or 4 pin PWM ?

GELID Solutions CA-PWM 350 mm PWM Y Cable - Newegg.ca

4 pin PWM to 3 pin use this.

then in bios set fan speed.

Ther is also 4 pin MOLEX to 3 pin adapters that will get 100% speed.
Plug anuther fan into the CPU header = trick it.

Set in bios, or use a molex would be the easiest.

Plug into a fan header other than the cpu fan one.

this motherboard does have a setting for full speed plus others in the bios but it is 4 pin only I hate it because I am trying to strees test this Opteron 6234 chips but I keep getting the dam alarm that I am over 70c so I definitely need to do something to cool this chip

4 pins work on a 3 pin header. 4th pin is just PWM.

I think he's saying that the bios control is strictly PWM.

If that's the case, your best bet would be to just get your hands on some molex adapters. If you were local to me I've got a million of the bloody things left over from YL's. :)

ok so I got pissed off with the trying to figure out the fan pin thing and ended up juryrigging a waterblock on the the Opteron ES chip and I have to say that really brought down the temps a good 10-15c .
I want to OC this chip but I am worried about other temperatures according to th HWmonitor tmpin 2 is 74 -94 running stock under full load with a single 95 I cannot tell that prime 95 is even running lol but that seem vry hot for what ever that is I know thta my cpu hasn't gone over 32c,
I did a I ran tpc using freq 3000 and ccore 1.1250 but for some reason instead of 3Ghz I get 4.5ghz when the system has a slight load and my temperature stays around 25 while gaming I tried prime and my system Blue screened after a few minutes but like I said that was at 4.5Ghz .
